Kellie Williams is an Administrative Assistant with the firm and an important team member. Ms. Williams assists the team and our clients by obtaining current medical evidence on behalf of our clients to support their claims. In a disability case, having current, relevant medical information is crucial in documenting the extent and severity of our client's impairments. Ms. Williams frequently contacts our clients to obtain the most current information about recent medical treatment. Medical offices are frequently behind on record requests, and as a result, following up on medical requests is frequently important. In Disability law, cases are won on the medical evidence. Ms. Williams finds it rewarding to gather together the documentation to prove a client's case.

Noell Black has been a Paralegal with Byron A. Lassiter & Associates, P.C. for the past eight years. Mrs. Black ensures that for every hearing our client's file is well-prepared. She makes sure that for our clients, the medical documentation proving their impairments is submitted to the judge prior to the hearing. The office utilizes, primarily, electronically store data. This electronic data is filed only with the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review's online data, so that before every hearing before a judge, all medical information is thoroughly reviewed. She works closely with Mr. Lassiter to not only review and summarize the relevant medical evidence, but also drafts memorandums of fact and law to the judges to best present a client's claim. Thus, Mrs. Black's skills include not only being very knowledgeable about Disability law, but also being very organized and particular about the details. Mrs. Black is our office's team leader. As a result of her efforts, the firm wins a very substantial number of disability cases each month. Mrs. Black enjoys seeing things done right and done well.
