My Philosophy

"My role as a Social Security Disability law attorney is to go beyond the technical legal issues and address the human factors; not just the physical pain that often accompanies a disability, but the loss of self esteem, the financial uncertainty and even the fear of being unable to work and support one's self. The stress and distress that this places not just upon the individual, but also the individual's family are very real. I seek to listen to my clients, really listen. I understand and empathize with the profound anguish and frustrations suffered by those who seek my help.

"My goal, then, is to move my client's case along in a speedy and efficient manner. Many portions of a case are beyond the control of either the claimant or the attorney. However, when the occasion arises to speed your claim along in a positive direction, I will work to resolve your case reflecting both my expertise and your input. During those times that your case is seemingly stuck, I will take those actions necessary to prepare the claim, so that when the opportunity for action arises, we are ready. I am dedicated, above all, to fighting for and protecting your best interest.

"I believe that it is possible to produce outstanding legal results through a team effort involving you, my well-trained staff, and myself. The members of this firm will make every effort to be prepared to be an advocate for you, to recover those benefits to which you are entitled under the Social Security Act, whether it be Social Security Disability, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Widow's claims, children's benefits, or some combination of these. These are benefits to which, if you are entitled, you should receive with a minimum of unnecessary bureaucracy.

"My years of experience as a disability lawyer has demonstrated that in many cases, a hearing before a judge is necessary. Having represented literally thousands of individuals in these matters, I believe that I have the legal knowledge, skill and experience to represent you and to present the evidence in your case in the best manner possible.

"I am well aware that nothing is more frustrating to a client than lack of communication. I am frequently in court and unavailable for a telephone conference. However, the members of my staff are highly trained. We, as a team, are committed to responding as quickly as possible to you and discussing every aspect of your case with you, thus avoiding confusion and discomfort. I am sensitive to my clients' unique individual needs and I am dedicated to deliver prompt, practical advice. Choosing the right representation is the first step toward achieving a successful result. My strong commitment is to provide the most professional, effective, compassionate and strong legal representation possible.

"I make no claims of giving advice on 'beating the system'. Likewise, I am not interested in helping undeserving individuals obtain government benefits, and would find any such use of my expertise to be both personally offensive and professionally unethical. However, I also feel there is no question that my extensive hands-on familiarity with both the rules and regulations, as well as the more subtle factors pertaining to the prevailing 'adjudicative climate' offer a 'window' by which clients can obtain useful advise. Because of my experience and expertise, I believe, based upon statistical results, that my advocacy of a client's interest results in a significantly higher likelihood of success than those without representation."
